My wife signed up for the $25 promotion figuring that that it would have been a one time charge. The terms and conditions of this offer was explained on another page of their website and their link could easily be over looked. But even if we give Seattle Direct Coffee the benefit of the doubt about the placing of the link, the terms and conditions still turned out to be a lie. This is what it said.

"Semimonthly Program: Twice a month you will receive a package with 2 bags of coffee and will be billed $12.50 per bag of coffee, plus $6.98 per bag for shipping and handling. Your total per shipment will be $38.96. Feel free to log into the site and modify your selections at any time. This will allow you to vary your coffee each shipment or stick with what you love. You control what you get."

This is what happened. On April 17 the initial order was placed for $25. So far so good. Then with out warning another charge was placed for $38.95 on April 20. That was followed by another $38.95 charge on April 21, another on April 27 and the last one on April 28. In a period of 10 days we received two months of coffee according to Seattle Direct's own terms and conditions. I canceled my wife's club membership and just to be sure I also had the number on her credit card changed. This is a totally unscrupulous company and they are taking advantage of the fact that often charges on credit cards can take several days to be identified.

This company is a total scam and I would advise everybody to steer clear of them.

I have been wanting a bran muffin recipe! I was disappointed to go to the store, pick up the AllBran box, and see no recipe on it! I have been CRAVING bran muffins, so this is perfect! Uh, where do I get real bran tho? Help! Can I still use the cereal??

I still stop by, but my 'puter is slow, your blog doesn't always load. :(

Mmm, this looks really good and very simple to make! We just made our own gumdrops earlier this week, so all things sweet are welcome in this house.
