Monday Madness Recipe Roundup for March 16th

rrtemp.jpgOnce again it is time for my Monday Madness Recipe Roundup - I am happy to announce that it is back and will be posted every Monday. There is absolutely no official criteria to get on this post, except that I have to come across a new recipe (from the past week, with only a few exceptions) on your blog. Your blog DOES need to have a date on it, so I can verify when it was posted. Usually the roundup is formed when I just accidentally find a recipe I just need to try. I need to keep them all in once place, and this works. Then I can share them with others as well and provide a bit of linky love.To see past recipe roundups, click here.

Mom’s Kitchen Cooking always gives me trouble (it’s the good kind!) with her amazing and delicious recipes, because trying to pick just one is quite difficult. This week she actually got my tummy rumbling with a great recipe for a super Easy Chicken Parmesagna .

My New 30 must think the way I do with food, because so many of her recipes are the exact type my family and I would be trying. She has a delicious recipe posted for Shrimp and Angel Hair Pasta . Two of my favorite foods combined - pasta and seafood… it doesn’t get any better than that!

Unless you’re looking for dessert:

JennCooks posted a really yummy looking Cherry Fluff Recipe that got attention from my kids when they saw it. They are off for Spring Break this week and guess what we’re going to try out one day?

But I digress, because dessert, while tastey, is not what I am all about!

I had several to choose from over at Cinnamon Spice and Everything Nice as always, but I couldn’t get past the delicious recipe she had for Cajun Shrimp Alfredo. I love spicy, and she did spicy! Oh yum!! I’m hoping I can convince my picky eater to try it if I remove the shrimp ahead of time!

Looking for a delicious twist on breakfast? The Chocoholics Diary shared an absolutely scrumptious sounding recipe for Hershey’s Chocolate French Toast . I know I’d like to give that one a try!

Monday Madness Recipe Roundup for February 9th

rrtemp.jpgOnce again it is time for my Monday Madness Recipe Roundup - I am happy to announce that it is the sixth and seems to be a well loved feature, so I intend to keep it up for awhile. I’m seriously trying to watch my calorie intake so I can still enjoy food but not feel as if I can’t eat. When I stumbled upon the Diet Recipes Blog, I was pretty excited to see a delicious Peanut Butter Cookies recipe  that boasts only 78 calories - and “oh my” they look simply heavenly!

My New 30 is a new to me blog and I love her! She has tons of recipes with photos to make you want to get started making whatever recipe she has posted right then. I really need to do my blog more like hers. With 5 kids I find it a bit more challenging to do it that way. My favorite recipe that she has shared lately was  her Pasta Carbonera recipe. Oh yum! Last minute update: I also found a terrific Seafood Bread with Crab and Shrimp that looks just heavenly!

JennCooks is one of those cooking bloggers I just adore because she uses photographs to show off step by step directions. She shared a great recipe this week for a party mix recipe (chex mix recipe), which she called Scrabble.

I had several to choose from over at Cinnamon Spice and Everything Nice , simply because she always posts the most amazing recipes. Be sure and check out her Italian Mac and Cheese recipe. It is on my menu plan this week, as I know my kids will love it too.

Years and years ago, watching a Seinfeld episode where they spoke of this amazing soup (yes I’m sure you know the episode), I wondered what Muligatawny soup was and really wanted to try it. I have tried several throughout the years, but have yet to find one that was easy to prepare. Well,  this week Crock Pot Meals shared a crock pot Mulligatawny soup recipe that looks fabulous as well as simple.  Score!

Monday Madness Recipe Roundup for January 26th

Mama Loves Food stopped me right in my tracks with a most delicious looking Green Bean Chicken Casserole - two of my favorites paired together as one dish. I have done something similar but never with whole chicken and this recipes is awesome. This is on our menu early this week! Oh, and there’s photos and they are simply mouthwatering!

My Path to Fitness had me hooked with a really great recipe for Sour Cream and Cheese Dip - I don’t plan to save it for super bowl Sunday. I have the ingredients to try it out this afternoon.

My Kitchen Table brought me back to my childhood with delicious Vanishing Oatmeal Cookies that I remember fondly from childhood. I cannot swear this is the same recipe my mom used, but the cookies are the same name and they both came from Quaker. Yum!

I am a shrimp addict, and seriously I could eat it with every meal (though I’m not really seeing it for breakfast but you never know) well, yesterday Are You Hungry? posted a recipe for  a really yummy Shrimp Seafood Dip.

Tasty Recipes is a new to me blog this week, but I found several that looked awesome - my favorite was her recipe for  Chicken Caliente (also known as King Ranch Casserole) -  it looks and sounds amazing and it is going on my next menu plan!

While I definitely stumbled upon several other amazing and delicious recipes, I’ve just been so busy that this weeks picking are a bit slim but trust me, they are worth it! I will have a better round up next week. Thanks for visiting and be sure and visit these blogs and give them some love.

Monday Madness Recipe Roundup for January 19th

I absolutely love oatmeal, as do my kids. I really like making it myself because it saves money (yes my frugal side) and stretches it further than packets, so when I came across a blog post made at My Path to Fitness for a Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal recipe, I honestly couldn’t stop drooling and imagining a piping hot bowl of the most delicious stuff ever. I will share with you after I try it out.

Tasty Thoughts has the most delicious looking Vegetable Beef Soup Recipe up for grabs this week. With the cold Winter weather, I am easily seeing this as a delicious addition to a night with some hot sandwiches. Yummy!

My Kitchen Table is new to the Recipe Roundup, but definitely not to me. She always provides dozens of delicious recipes and I had real trouble this week picking my favorite. As a very first here on MMRR,  I am calling her out on three absolutely fantastic recipes that I cannot wait to try. We have a get together coming up soon and I am thinking we are going to have to try these:  Crabmeat Cucumber Rounds - Bacon Wrapped Artichoke Hearts - Broiled Salmon with Pesto Mayonnaise. Don’t forget to check out her other recipes. She’s a fantastic food blogger!

I’ve always wanted to find and make an easy Chocolate Ganache Recipe, but the one I have is a bit on the more time consuming side. WeddingCakeHints provided this super easy, really delich sounding recipe. Thanks!

Monday Madness Recipe Roundup for January 12th

rrtemp.jpgOnce again it is time for my Monday Madness Recipe Roundup.  A few of you have emailed and asked me how you make the recipe roundup list. There is absolutely  no criteria, except that I have to come across a new recipe (from the past week, with only a few exceptions) on your blog. Usually the roundup is formed when I just accidentally find a recipe I just need to try. I need to keep them all in once place, and this works. Then I can share them with others as well and provide a bit of linky love.

The Mom With Brownies , who’s site I happen to really enjoy -  posted a really fun recipe for Homemade Old Fashioned Suckers. I found the recipe only seconds after I had hit the post button for last week’s roundup, and so I decided to make it the first one this week. Hope you enjoy!

Go Graham Go! impressed me with a rather delicious looking Unbaked Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie . This recipe looks so fun and yummy. It’s easy enough for the kids to learn and make themselves too!

1 Blog and 2 Sides has made it to my list before, but this time she hit it with four great recipes (technically two are listed in this particular post) for some amazing looking cookies and candies .

And I don’t know who she’s kidding, but the Unorthodox Chef has once again caused me to drool all over my screen. This week is an absolutely mouth watering recipe for Monte Cristo French Toast .

I truly ♥ Southern Plate and she made these amazing Melt In Your Mouth Doughnuts that look quite similar to the ones I made a few months back. They are super simple to make, and anyone can do it. Her recipe had you dipping them in melted butter before adding the cinnamon and sugar and I am wondering if that might make them better than the recipe I had. This one is on my list of things to make this weekend!

Tasty Thoughts gives me a problem each week that I do these, because typically there are several recipes to choose from. This week was no different, but with my commitment to losing weight and trying to cut out fried foods and other fatty items, her Oven Baked Jalapeno Poppers recipe might be just the thing to curb my snack cravings - they aren’t fried! She did say they were spicy, and I’m curious to see for myself.

Thanks for checking us out this week, be sure to visit these great blogs and tell them I sent you!

Monday Madness Recipe Roundup for January 5th

rrtemp.jpgYikes, I am a bit late posting this today, but with the holiday’s and finally trying to resume a normal “work” schedule (and I use the term schedule a little loosely) things have been hectic to say the least. I have been getting many comments and questions about my daughter and how she is doing - please see the previous post for an update. Thank you for all of your well wishes and support. You all amaze me and I feel eternally blessed to have such great friends and readers.

Kooky Culinary is first on my list this week with an absolutely fantastic looking Brocoli and Cheese soup .  Interestingly, I am not the biggest broccoli fan in the world, but for whatever weird reason, I do seem to enjoy it covered in cheese. LOL

The Unorthodox Chef shared a whole slew of recipes, but honestly I am after that  Pineapple Macadamia Nut Dip - that simply sounds heavenly.

Deliciously Dirty always has great recipes, and always for things that look sinfully good that I know will be downfall. LOL She posted a great video tutorial on how to make some great brownies , and I thought the video was kind of a neat touch. Maybe once I get my kitchen cleaned up, I will show you how to make a few things.

The Savings Cafe   had a great Buttermilk Biscuit recipe . I enjoy recipes like this, because I prefer to make things like this from scratch.

I think, The Homesteading Housewife , just might become a regular on my recipe roundup. She is always posting the most amazing recipes and her latest Cajun Chicken Fettucine Alfredo recipe absolutely looks to die for. I’m SO making this, probably this week.

Mom’s Cafe Home Cooking has a really easy, and fantastic looking recipe for  Hearty Vegetable Beef Soup made from leftovers and in your crockpot (my third favorite appliance in my kitchen!)Personally, I think a recipe like this is absolutely perfect for this time of year, so I plan to pop it into my menu in the next week or two.

LAST MINUTE ADD ON: 11th Heaven’s Homemaking Haven shared with all of her readers this amazing Cake Ball Recipe. My kids are on vacation until tomorrow, so I am seriously contemplating making these today.

Thanks everyone for providing such amazing and delicious recipes that cause me to drool all over my screen!

Monday Madness Recipe Roundup for December 29th

Here is the third installment of The Daily Dish Monday Madness Recipe Roundup. I find so many awesome recipes as I am blog hopping, and often I wish to return to try them out. The recipe roundup seemed like a useful way for me to record the yummy recipes I find for myself, and at the same time, give a little linky love for these blogs and share them with all of you. For last week’s post, click here.

I don’t know too much about this blog or what it’s main purpose is, but did find an awesome Raspberry Frozen Yogurt recipe that I’d like to try. I think I will wait until it’s just a little warmer though.

Cinnamon Spice and Everything Nice posted the most amazing Chocolate Ganache Truffles recipe I think I’ve ever seen. As a self professed chocolate addict, I am SO trying these!!

Monday Madness Recipe Roundup for December 22nd

Here is the second installment of my Monday Madness Recipe Roundup. I find so many awesome recipes as I am blog hopping, and often I wish to return to try them out. The recipe roundup seemed like a useful way for me to record the yummy recipes I find, and at the same time, give a little linky love for these blogs and share them with all of you. For last week’s post, click here .

Jenn Cooks doesn’t post regularly on this blog, but when she does, she gives detailed directions WITH photos which is so wonderful. Her latest Chocolate Mint Pudding Pie Recipe  , seriously looks like something I might try for Christmas Eve dinner or to bring to my mom’s on Christmas Day.

Seeking His Face…In Everything had an awesome series of posts this week on Christmas Cookies (a gal after my own heart). My favorite was the Chocolate Scotcheroos .  If I hadn’t already finished all my Christmas Cookie baking, I would so be adding these. Don’t worry, we’ll be trying them out just on our family in a couple of days.

The Homesteading Housewife had a most amazing recipe for scrumptious sounding cookies - Maple Cinnamon Snickerdoodles . Snickerdoodles are my SO’s favorite cookie, so we are definitely going to be trying them!

I thoroughly enjoy the Southern Plate blog, and as is pretty standard for the blog, many new, delicious recipes appear often. This week my favorite was the Double Layer Peppermint Bark , which she apparently put up for her son’s third grade class. It looks fabulous!

Creating with Shelly is an awesome scrapbooking blog, but she posts recipes often. This week’s favorite was the the Hot Caramel Chocolate that you so have got to try!

Monday Madness Recipe Roundup for December 15th

After finding all sorts of delicious recipes all over the net, while blog hopping, I decided that these wonderful people who take the time to share them with us, deserve to get a link to the yummy recipes they share. So each week, as I am popping through the blogs I visit each day (and sometimes even new one’s) I plan to save the links and give a little link love every Monday. So here is the first installment of my Monday Madness Recipe Roundup.

Visit The Happy Mom, for her delicious Scandinavian Almond Bars. Not only do they seem fairly easy to make, her photo makes me drool.

Tasty Thoughts brought us a wonderful From Scratch Breadsticks Recipe . If you’ve spent any time at all at my blog, you know I prefer to cook from scratch whenever possible - it’s cheaper and you can stretch your ingredients.

Cinnamon Spice and Everything Nice provided an absolutely delectable Baked Ziti recipe , which was on our menu last night. I cannot even tell you how good it was. (and easy - easy is always good!)

Ask Ms. Recipe is a blog I try to visit often, because she almost always has something delicious I long to try. Recently she added a Chicken Salad recipe and I was struck immediately by the fact that it didn’t include a bunch of ingredients (grapes for one) that I don’t like in my chicken salad.

Mom’s Cafe Home Cooking always has delicious recipes, and she blogs near daily so there is always something new to try.  She added a Creamy Pennine Rigate recipe, and everyone at our house just loves pasta, so I think it will be perfect. I’ll be sure and let you know because this recipes ingredients are on my upcoming shopping list.

1 Blog and 2 Sides posted a recipe about a week or so ago, that I have been meaning to try. Her Bacon and Cheese Fritata Recipe looks absolutely amazing and sounds so good, that I think it might be breakfast for the weekend.

Your Fun Family offered a great recipe for Mocha Sandwich Cookies earlier in the week. I’d really like to try these, and if I didn’t already have such a long cookie baking list, I think I would be adding these to my Christmas cookies recipes. Instead, as soon as I finish my cookie baking days (today and tomorrow) - I will pick up the extra ingredients I need and make these for the end of the week.

Kid Cookin was added as a last minute decision - mostly because I didn’t want you to have to wait until next week to check out her AWESOME Peanut Butter Cookie recipe. The best part is it requires no flour at all. Today is supposed to be cookie baking day, so I might throw this one in just to check it out. Looks so good!
