Turkey Tater Tot Casserole Recipe
Turkey Tater Tot Casserole Recipe
1 lb. ground turkey
1 can fat-free cream of mushroom soup
1 Tbs. seasoning salt (optional, and only if desired)
1 pkg. frozen tater tots
1 c. low fat sour cream
1 pkg. low-fat 2% cheddar cheese
Brown the ground turkey in a skillet; stir in the soup and seasonings - add the sour cream and blend. Spread the mixture in a 9×13 baking dish. Sprinkle half the cheese on top, and then add the tater tots. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until the tater tots are golden. Remove from oven about 5-10 minutes before complete and sprinkle with remaining cheese on top. Continue baking until finished and then enjoy!

I’ve done this recipe, in fact its one of my kids favorites!
Hi! Looks like you’ve experimented further with your original tater tot casserole! I think I tried that out but without the sour cream, and found the tater tot topping a little disappointing - maybe it was the brand of tater tots? fyi, I am going to try this with hash brown ‘taters, see if that works better for me
nipsy - I know, I was so pleased how much the kids liked it.
lynne - nope, not experimenting. Actually over the holiday’s while complaining about how much weight I was putting on from all the great food, a friend gave me her low fat versions of many of the things we all make. This was one of them. We tried it out and it’s awesome. I’m not sure why you had trouble with the other one, we love it - but then I use seasonings and things too.
Tomorrow there will be a post about the whole low fat/weight loss scoop going on here, so it will make more sense why I shared this one.
Have a great evening ladies!
