Our Favorite Dry Rub Recipe
I cannot believe I forgot to post yesterday. I was all on track with a recipe a day, and then Sunday hit and whammo, I forgot. LOL Of course a lot of that has to do with the fact that we didn’t actually do any baking or cooking yesterday. We barbecued some steak last night. So I thought since we usually use a dry rub on our chicken, steak and any other meat we put on the barbecue, I’d share one of them. I usually mix this up in huge batches so its ready when we need it. We even sometimes use it on hamburgers.
Favorite Dry Rub Recipe
1/2 Tbs. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. cayenne
3 Tbs. Chili Powder
1 Tbs. salt
1/2 Tbs. black pepper
In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients together and then rub it onto a piece of steak, chicken or any other meat you’d like to try it on. You can increase any of the seasonings to fit your taste. This amount usually does between 2-4 pieces of meat. If you like it thickly coated, double the recipe.
Very good!
I’ll be posting another recipe in a few hours. I am making an after school snack for the kids. ![]()
