Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe
I purchased a new blender a few days ago, and we have been busy making all kind of frozen drinks. My old blender didn’t like to crush ice or blend ice in any way, shape or form so it was time for something new. This one is a favorite with the kids.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie
4-6 fresh strawberries (med./large in size)
1/2 c. milk
1-2 ripe bananas
5 ice cubes
This recipe originally called for a teaspoon of sugar, but you don’t need it and we don’t add it. Slicing the strawberries and the banana into smaller bits, makes it easier to blend. In a blender, combine the strawberries, bananas, ice and milk. Blend for 1 minute or until really smooth. It makes about 32 ounces. If your blender holds more (mine does) double the recipe. The kids ask for this for breakfast often. They drink this with a piece of toast or a granola bar.

I absolutely LOVED this recipe!!! My smoothie was just pure delicious! I can’t imagine how much better it would have tasted if my blender hadn’t been so dumb today though! Time for a new one… when I added the milk it all leaked out but then it stopped so I put more milk in but then when I was half way done blending it my blender just decided to be dumb and stop blending so it was pretty well blended except for a few chunks of ice and one of the strawberries. It was stil so good though!
