How to Make Your Own Ramen Noodle Salad Recipes
Face it, ramen noodles are cheap. And if you opt out of the included flavor packet, they are low in sodium. So if you watch what you put with them, you can have a pretty healthy meal for not a lot of money.
Our family is majorly addicted to ramen. The pickiest eater (the oldest girl) tends to make it almost every single day for lunch in the summer. So knowing that, we designed some recipes so we can eat it occasionally in a different way other than soup.
My favorite way is to make cold salads with it, but we treat it as pasta sometimes too. And yes, we often use the flavor packet for — flavor.
It’s fairly easy to make your own ramen noodle soup recipes. Simply cook the noodles as directed on the package without adding the flavor packet. What you do next is up to you.
Sometimes we cool the noodles (rinse with cold water) and sometimes we drain them and leave them hot, and other times we drain all but a bit of water out.
You can add all sorts of fresh veggies (my favoirites are chopped spinache, and alfalfa sprouts). You can add meat - ham, beef, lamb, chicken (even fish). If you choose, you can prepare the flavor packet in a bowl and mix with several tablespoons of water or milk. Add things you think would taste good in a ramen noodle salad.
If you make a chicken salad or tuna salad recipe, try adding ramen to it with a few tablespoons of milk to make it creamier. Tastes so good!
If you have a question about some ramen noodle salad recipes, let me know. I have plenty to share but don’t want to overwhelm everyone with a huge plethora of them.

We love ramen noodles cooked in a stirfry. We do use the flavor packet, but only 1/2. We also use them as a crispy topping on a Thai salad we make. I hadn’t thought of using them soft in a salad. I’ll have to try it. They are definitely budget friendly!
