Easy Coleslaw Recipe

Published by simplywriting at 6:00 am under Recipes Edit This

Easy Coleslaw RecipeWhat a terrific side dish for a picnic, potluck or BBQ. This is super easy and pretty traditional in taste.

Easy Coleslaw Recipe

1 1/2 lbs. green cabbage, shredded
3 Tbs. cider or malt vinegar
2/3 c. mayonnaise
1 small onion grated, optional
2 medium carrots, grated
1/4 tsp. salt

In a large bowl, toss together the cabbage with the vinegar and salt. Next, grate the carrots and if you choose, the onion. Place in bowl. Add the mayonnaise and toss to coat well. Allow the coleslaw to sit for approximately one hour or so, tossing every so often. This will allow for a deeper, richer (and more delicious) flavor.
